Rangers owner Tom Hicks recently asked local icon Nolan Ryan to be the team's new president this week and word is that the agreement will also see him inserted as the fifth man in the rotation.
Hendry to complete Roberts deal by Spring Training 2028
The deal to bring Orioles All-Star second baseman Brian Roberts to the Cubs that appeared to be imminent just a few weeks ago has come to a complete standstill in recent days. South Side fan kicked out of SoxFest for wearing sleeves
An overdressed White Sox fan was kicked out of this weekend's 2008 SoxFest for wearing sleeves, a major faux pas in Sox Nation. Joe Malonecki refused to honor the event's dress code and insisted on wearing a shirt with sleeves, rather than the preferred wife beater-style. Malonecki blamed a simple misinterpretation for the mistake.

Wrigley Field development to be called ‘Mediocrity Tower’
A Chicago developer unveiled plans in the city's Wrigleyville neighborhood earlier this week for a nine-story, mixed-use complex with a hotel that would stand virtually eye-to-eye with Wrigley Field. The new development, known as "Mediocrity Tower at Wrigley Field," would also contain about 150 residential units, about 100,000 square feet of commercial space on the land, plus a health club and 500 parking spaces.
