Just in time for the Super Bowl, Big Ben signed on for a Charles Schwab ad. Seems like Roethlisberger wants to spend his money on exactly what you'd expect from the guy.

“No, I’m not going to work out at all,” Big Ben said. “I plan on eating, sleeping, and eating. No ‘assaulting,' no motorcycle riding, just eating 'til my last name looks smaller on my jersey.”

The agreement to end the NBA lockout has restored thousands of jobs, but one budding business has seen its sales take a dive since the announcement.

Contrary to popular belief, the WNBA still exists, and league officials are pulling out all the stops to gain interest. This year's 2012 WNBA draft was held earlier this week, in a VFW hall outside of Newark, N.J., and was "top optional" to generate interest in the failing league.

"We had hoped they'd be able to jump start Jason and David, but Con Edison told us they can only do so much," said Mets GM Sandy Alderson. "I suppose we should be happy we have electricity at our stadium, but I was really hoping to find a way we could get a little more pop out of these guys."

“I had spoken to Joe [Girardi] about my gunning the ball back to the pitcher and letting him relay to second on steal attempts – kind of a two-one-four putout – but he wasn’t crazy about the idea,” Posada said.

"I was still drunk four hours after I got to work on Thursday," said Hawks fan Tom Benson, referring to the day after the three-overtime Game 1 that lasted well into the wee hours of the morning. "Plus now I can check out the first period before work on Monday, then see the game-winning goal when I get home."
