Run and hide, or start drinking heavily, because the Texas Rangers released their 2009 television schedule on Friday.

FOX Sports Southwest will televise 133 games and KDFI My 27 in Dallas-Fort Worth will broadcast 24 games. The season opener against the Cleveland Indians at 1 p.m. on April 6 will be broadcast on KDFW FOX 4.

Also, FOX Sports Southwest will broadcast five spring training games.

For your viewing pleasure, the majority of Rangers games will be presented in high-definition on FOX Sports Southwest HD, KDFI My 27 HD and KDFW FOX 4 HD where available. A complete Rangers HD schedule will be announced.

Also back for a second season on FOX Sports Southwest is “Lunch with the Rangers,” a noon weekday featuring one-hour condensed game replays from the previous night. Viewer discretion is advised, because it is a lunchtime telecast.

Josh Lewin begins his eighth season as the television voice of the Rangers. He’ll be joined by former Rangers player and general manager Tom Grieve, who is back for his 15th season as analyst.

Jim Knox returns for his 10th season as the roving reporter during home games.

The first telecast will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7 against the Chicago White Sox at Surprise, Ariz.

On radio, the Rangers will be splitting their time between KRLD FM 105.3 and KRLD 1080 AM.

The radio voice of the Rangers, Eric Nadel will be heard on the crystal clear FM broadcast on weekdays, while the Saturday-Sunday games will be broadcast from the Canadian border to the Mexico border and all points in between on KRLD AM.
