Following an epiphany, Tampa Bay wide receiver Mike Williams completely removed himself from his own fantasy roster today. Realizing that only 2 percent of all Yahoo! Fantasy League owners were still starting the maligned wide receiver, Williams placed himself on waiver wires and picked up Brandon Lloyd—recently traded to the Rams.

“I hope Lloyd’s the fix,” Williams quipped. “He’s been horrible, but let’s face it, I’m killing myself.”

Out of desperation, Williams emailed other fantasy owners to ask why they were still starting him and if they had replacement suggestions. However, he was notified that those owners were either dead or not old enough for their parents to allow email communications.

Fueled by the breakout season he had a year ago, Williams drafted himself ahead of Calvin Johnson as his team’s No. 2 overall pick. Devastated by the move, he’ll now be forced to rely on the Jacksonville Jaguars defense to carry him through the season.
