In the past week, Billy Corgan, the Smashing Pumpkins’ frontman and lifelong Cubs fan, was upstaged by Eddie Vedder’s omnipresence at Wrigley Field. Not only that, Corgan was insulted by the attention Jack White received during his appearance at a Cubs game; White was publicized as being extremely unhappy while seated like a slouch inside the ordinarily Friendly Confines. Meanwhile, no one said a word about Corgan.

The Pumpkins’ singer, known for his whiny singing voice, found something to really whine about.

“Hey Eddie, I challenge you to Cubs Trivia followed by a battle of our bands,” Corgan said. “Oh and Jack, you sure know how to complain without suffering. Why don’t you go home and catch up with the United?”
