Tank sentenced to jail, ordered to pay off judge’s Super Bowl debt
When Cook County Circuit Judge John Moran released Terry "Tank" Johnson from house arrest last January, he told the Bears defensive tackle he needed a Super Bowl victory because he had "fallen behind on some bills." On Thursday, it was clear Judge Moran was serious, not only sentencing Johnson jail time but also ordered him to pay $2,500, the amount the judge lost betting on the Bears in Super Bowl XLI.
Inmates prepare to welcome Tank
The supplies store at the Cook County jail will need to put in a new order for Sharpies after the sentencing of the Bears' Tank Johnson. Inmates at the jail rushed to purchase the markers in hopes of getting an autograph from the NFL star.

The annual Cook County jail spring football game between the "The Clinks" and the "First and Ten to Twenties" got a little more interesting after the Clinks received the rights to the newest member of the jail, a 6-ft. 3-in., 300 lb. defensive tackle known as "Tank."
Already at court battling a paternity suit, Urlacher testifies for Johnson
Tank Johnson's defense attorney Lorna Propes thought she had an upper hand when she and her client entered a Cook County court room on Thursday. Already armed with Lovie Smith testifying on the behalf of her client, Propes already figured the judge would be too star-struck to decide against her client. When she bumped into Brian Urlacher at the courthouse, Propes thought she had an open and shut case.
Podsednik returns to Sox lineup, hits 3 for 4, steals a base and goes...
Although only playing in a "B" game, White Sox outfielder Scott Podsednik had quite the day Wednesday. Recovering from a sports hernia, the speedy leadoff hitter went 3 for 4 and stole a base against the Rockies. Topping off Podsednik's great day was the fact he got to go home to his wife Lisa Dergan, Playboy's Miss July 1998.
