Shortly after watching Milan Lucic’s goal to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead in game 6 of the Stanley Cup final, hundreds of Hawks fans looked at their watches and decided it was time to go to bed, still confident that the Hawks would pull through in the deciding game 7.  After being out-shot and out-played through the majority of the game, these fans rightfully assumed that the Hawks would end up hoisting the Stanley Cup after a gutsy Game 7 victory back in Chicago.

“Tough luck in Game 6,” One Naperville fan told media sources. “I really thought we could come away with the win tonight after we stopped so many chances in the first period.  But, at home, I think we can really take home the cup.”

As they were going to bed with more than four minutes left in the game, the majority of tired fans told reporters, “Trust us, we’re not going to miss anything.  Game 7 is in the bag, but who’s gonna stay up ’til 10 on a Monday, right?”
