Los Angeles Lakers head coach Mike Brown reiterated his commitment to a “special season” during a recent press conference, saying the team’s lone victory in five tries is just the kind of performance he believes can help the squad break the 70-loss barrier.

“Of course we can do it,” said Brown. “If Kobe would just stop whining and get on board with the idea, I think this team can do very special, albeit horrible, things under my leadership.”

Despite acquiring Dwight Howard in the off-season, the Lakers are indeed on pace to finish last in the conference. But what about the fact they’re already on pace to win 16 games?

“Nah, that win against the Pistons was a fluke,” said Brown. “Have you seen this team play defense? What a joke! We don’t even practice that stuff.”
