Scott Fitzsimmons had a miserable run in his fantasy baseball league this season, finishing 11th out of 12 teams, but he’s confident his “Fitzy’s Bombers” are in for big things in 2013.

“My five keepers are Josh Hamilton, Prince Fielder, Matt Cain, Starlin Castro and Adam Wainright,” said Fitzsimmons. “I’m going to be stacked next year.”

Others in his league aren’t too scared of Fitzsimmons, given his terrible track record at drafting and working the waiver wire this year.

“Scott’s the worst,” said Will Franklin, another fantasy owner in his league. “His top pick these year was Chipper Jones and he traded Adrian Gonzalez for Lucas Duda at the All-Star break.”

Added Franklin: “Scott thinks he’s a Theo Epstein-type fantasy GM, which is true, but he’s more like the Theo that built last year’s Red Sox and this year’s Cubs. Scott’s not the genius he thinks he is.”
