Alderman Tom Tunney of the 44th Ward admitted he has nothing to do since the City Council approved renovations to Wrigley Field.

“Since the renovation was passed, all I’ve been doing is trying to figure out ways to stick my nose in places where it’s not wanted, which is, of course, my specialty,” Tunney told a community newspaper.

The owner of the Ann Sather Restaurant, Tunney said, “I’m spending far too much time at the restaurant instead of solidifying my place as Chicago’s political gadfly. However, it gives me a chance to brow-beat the wait staff and rip the sous-chef for not making the omelets fluffy enough.”

Tunney said he is polling his Wrigleyville constituents to seek opinions on matters in which he can be a buttinski and remain a general pain in the ass to the Emanuel administration.
