Following the Cubs’ 9-8 win over the Washington Nationals last night in the nation’s capital, Donald Trump took to Twitter to vent his frustrations, denouncing Pedro Strop’s hat as alt-left.
“Players should wear their Caps (hats) straight, or they should be FIRED!” tweeted Trump, using his trademark habit of unnecessary parentheticals and capitalization. “This is a FAKE WIN for the Cubs and the city of Chicago, which is an ABSOLUTE war zone with all its gun violence. TRUMP WILL FIX!”
Strop, whose let-kiltered hat is often the subject of ire and criticism from keyboard warriors and baseball purists over social media, did not comment on Trump’s tweets, as he was too busy drinking non-Trump branded champagne.
