Ben Bishop’s return to the lineup for Game 5 proved to be costly after he collided with Bolts defenseman Victor Hedman, which led to an open net score for Patrick Sharp.

This miscommunication set the tone for the remainder of the game in which Antoine Vermette buried another game-winning goal, giving the Blackhawks a 3-2 series lead heading back to the United Center.

Tampa’s defensive woes continued Sunday morning as Bishop once again collided with Hedman while attempting to board the flight to Chicago.

When asked about this second collision and with no Lightning fans in the area to blame, he focused on the noise caused by the plane’s jet engines.

“You can’t really hear anything at the airport when it’s that loud. Obviously, you saw the result,” Bishop said. “It’s just too loud out there.”
