White Sox broadcaster Ken “Hawk” Harrelson is in mid-season form after his performance during the team’s season opener.

“I counted 14 comparisons by Hawk of White Sox first baseman-DH Paul Konerko, including ones to King Leonidas of ‘300 Spartans,’ President Grover Cleveland and Lord Petyr ‘Littlefinger’ Baelish of ‘Game of Thrones,’” Chicago media critic Robert Feder said in a column reviewing the broadcast.

Broadcast partner Steve Stone was left dumbfounded and speechless when Harrelson told the audience that Cuban-born Sox player Jose Abreu is “the best thing to come out of Cuba since Cohiba cigars before Fidel Castro pulled that Commie crap.”
