After Chicago Blackhawks forward Bryan Bickell scored his eighth goal of the playoffs in Game 4 against the Los Angeles Kings, bandwagon Hawks fans who only started following the team midway through the first round of the playoffs have expressed outrage that the winger was not one of the three finalists for the Hart Trophy, given annually to the NHL’s most valuable player.

One bandwagon fan, watching the game from Sluggers, bemoaned, “Bickell’s been one of the best players in the league this season, all sixteen games. But he’s not even a finalist for the Hart Trophy! Instead it’s between Crosby, Ovechkin, and John Tavares. I’ve never even heard of that last guy, and he’s supposed to be better than Bickell? I bet heĀ hasn’t scored eight times in the playoffs. What a joke.”

Bandwagon fans have demanded that the unrestricted free agent get re-signed “at any price” while wondering what all the hype is about surrounding so-called team leaders Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. The fans pointed out that the perennial All-Stars have combined for far fewer goals than the dynamic Bickell, who they feel is “definitely the future of the franchise.”
