The first female official in the history of the NFL will make her debut during Thursday’s Packers-Chargers preseason game, but league commissioner Roger Goodell has vowed it won’t be the only notable ref development of 2012.
“We’re also hoping to hire a ref that can see without glasses,” he said. “Maybe even one or two that can analyze a replay in less than 30 minutes, though I can’t make any promises on that front.”
