Just a few weeks after the news broke that Lakers star Kobe Bryant was getting divorced, Michael Jordan announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Yvette Prieto.
“That makes two,” said Jordan, referring to the number of wives or ex-wives he’ll soon have, compared to Bryant’s paltry one. “I have the rings. I have the wives. What else is there, really?”
Kobe tried to downplay the development, but it was clear the Laker guard was motivated by the news.
“Let’s just see where everything is at when we’re both old and gray,” he said. “This is LA. I could have 10 marriages by 2014 if I want. All to hot chicks, too.”
