With rumors swirling about a riff between Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall, the duo announced they’ll spend the night before Sunday’s game against the Patriots working on their problems.

“We need some quality time together,” Cutler told scribes in a press conference at Halas Hall.

“I made a reservation at Legal Seafoods overlooking the bay at Long Wharf for Saturday night,” Marshall said. “Nothing like a five pound lobster and a couple of bowls of chowder to patch things up.”

If the confab goes well, the QB and his star receiver plan to keep the dialogue moving forward.

“We’ll see what happens,” Cutler said. “Maybe we’ll rent a car and drive to Vermont to see the fall colors.”
