Kenny Williams’ long wait to steal Kosuke Fukudome from the Cubs finally ended today, when the White Sox GM inked the outfielder to a one-year deal for about $1 million.

“Finally we can call Fukudome our own,” said Williams. “It wasn’t easy to sit waiting for him to come available, but now Kosuke is where he belongs.”

Williams said he also plans to target Matt Murton, Milton Bradley and Derrek Lee, should any of the whereabouts of those individuals be identified before Opening Day.
