The Bravo channel announced today that it will debut “The Real Housewives of Tom Coughlin” starting this fall. This latest iteration of the popular The Real Housewives series will explore the four former wives, one current wife, and a potential wife-to-be of Giants head coach Tom Coughlin.

“’The Real Housewives of Tom Coughlin’ follows the affluent, bourgeois lives of his past, present, and future wives in the suburbs of New York City,” Bravo executive Andy Cohen said. “This series will explore a side of Tom Coughlin that you don’t see on the sidelines.”

Airing 7 p.m. on Sundays, The Real Housewives of Tom Coughlin will compete against “60 Minutes,” providing counterprogramming for viewers who prefer to see ex-Mrs. Coughlins fight over Manolo Blahniks and Christian Louboutins instead of insightful recaps of global politics and scandals that may affect the middle-class.

The premiere episode that will provide a natural lead-in to NBC’s Sunday Night Football shows Coughlin’s four former wives helping current wife Judy pick out Egyptian cotton linen from Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Upon coming home, Judy realizes that she picked up 1,500-thread count linen when her husband specifically instructed her to get 1,400 thread count. Judy confides her anguish to current mistress Dolores that she forgot to use the “20 Percent Off Any One Item”-coupon for the extravagant $50 purchase. Will Dolores backstab Judy and cause the mild-mannered Tom to rage? Stay tuned on Sundays at 7 p.m. Check your local listings for alternate times and re-runs.
