With the 72nd consecutive sold-out crowd reaching a fever pitch, the Bulls stood just four points and two minutes away from hitting the 100-point mark, thereby giving all fans in attendance a free Big Mac.

Needless to say, the stakes were incredibly high.

But in typical Bulls fashion, even four points was too much to ask for and the team skidded to a 96-77 victory, unable to score for the final two minutes against the even more pathetic Minnesota Timberwolves.

If you would call Joakim Noah getting the start and posting a double-double, with 10 points and 13 rebounds, a highlight, then congrats–there’s your highlight.

While most fans booed the Bulls’ inability to provide two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles and onions on a sesame seed bun for free, one misogynistic fan relished in the apparent pain.

“Aren’t Big Macs just a dollar?” asked one fan, Jodi Schmidt, as others around her chanted for four more points with a minute left on the clock. “I hope they score 99.”

Number of the night: 2

Games in a row Kirk Hinrich—that’s right, Kirk Hinrich—has led the team in scoring. Nevermind he threw up at least two airballs, one of which was a layup attempt: What is this world coming to?
