Bears party hard before NYE loss to Packers

With thoughts of bringing in 2007 with a bang, Bears back-up quarterbacks Brian Griese and Kyle Orton loaded the Bears locker room with champagne and party favors. A New Years bash before whopping the rival Green Bay Packers was a perfect way to end a successful 2006 season but, of course, the Packers had other ideas.

Bears rename stadium ‘Soulja Field’

Soulja Boy's hit song "Crank That (Soulja Boy)," has gripped the nation and will now leave a lasting impression on Chicagoans after an agreement between the 19-year-old artist and the Chicago Park District, the Bears' home field will now be named Soulja Field thanks to a the 10-year, $100 million dollar agreement includes $100 incentive every time the song is played at the stadium, which should nearly double the contract's payout.

It was another easy win for the Bears Sunday as they blew out the weak Division III San Francisco Tech 49ers 41-10.

Bears to wear ugly orange uniforms Sunday versus 49ers

In a cheap marketing ploy, the Bears have announced they will wear the visually nauseating alternate orange uniforms instead of their traditional blues Sunday versus the San Francisco 49ers. The change comes as a slap in the face to traditionalists who have grown used to seeing the Monsters of the Midway in the uniforms they've been wearing since the 1950s.

Wheels break off Bears bandwagon

Bears President and CEO Ted Phillips was on the phone earlier this week calling local auto rental outlets in search of a larger bandwagon. The wheels of the old one broke off after the most recent 3,500 fans piled on during the bye week.

Dennis Green checks into psych hospital after Monday choke job

Arizona Cardinals head coach Dennis Green checked into St. Luke's Behavioral Health Center in Phoenix Tuesday. Green was taken to the hospital by Cardinals trainer John Omohundro, who noticed Green's erratic behavior during Monday Night's post-game press conference, after their 24-23 loss to the Bears.
