Indians 5, White Sox 0
At Progressive Field
Monday, Sept. 1
After losing a series in Beantown, the last person the White Sox wanted to see on the hill was Cliff Lee. The future Cy Young winner won his 20 game of the season and made the Sox look like a junior varsity tee-ball team.
Sox at the plate
Cliff Lee drank the entire team's milkshake. I hadn't seen this many check-swing grounders to third base since Moises Alou was on the Cubs.
Sox on the mound
Clayton Richard didn't embarrass himself, allowing three earned runs. Mike MacDougal -- whom I completely forgot was on the team after getting banished to Charlotte in April -- pitched a scoreless inning.
Indians at the plate
The Indians didn't have Travis Hafner, Victor Martinez or Albert Belle, so Asdrubal Cabrera had to drive in two runs.
Indians on the mound
Forget about it. Lee surrendered two hits to lead off the game then retired the next 21 in a row.
Number of the game: 2.5

Quote of the game
"Leadoff walks always, always, always -- more often than not -- come around to hurt you." -- Sox announcer Hawk Harrelson. If you're going to use "always" three times in a sentence, think about what it means.
Next up for the Sox
"Jim Thome and the White Sox look to size up Grady and the Indians in HD at 6." CSN promos are starting to wear on me.
