Lakers currently California’s fourth best NBA team

After dropping their second game is as many nights, the Lakers dream team is currently 0-2 and flopping away this young season, ranking as the worst of California’s four NBA squads.

“Yeah, it’s been tougher than we thought,” said Kobe Bryant. “But we know that if we hang in there we’ll eventually get better than Sacramento. And after that, maybe even Golden State.”

Added Bryant: “The Clippers? I’m not so sure we’ll catch them this year. Just being real here.”

Bulls, Kings to wear NHL costumes, play hockey game tonight

The Bulls open the season tonight at the United Center by playing the Sacramento Kings. However, a Halloween event is planned by both teams with a nod to the NHL strike.

The Bulls will dress up as the Blackhawks and the Kings will dress up as the Los Angeles Kings, winners of the Stanley Cup. The two basketball teams will then go about and play a hockey game.

Fans are encouraged to get in the Halloween spirit by coming to the game dressed in costumes.
