I was lucky enough to join several hundred Hawks fans Saturday afternoon at Brent Seabrook's first-ever Celebrity Ice Bowl at 10pin lounge downtown. I took a jaunt down to Daley Plaza for the big Cubs playoff rally Tuesday, and I gotta tell ya, I think this team might just be for real. At least, that’s what everyone told me.Amazingly, Billy (Williams), Ronny (Santo), Ernie (Banks) and Craney (Kenney) all picked the Cubs to win the World Series in their speeches to the raving masses. I grew up loving the Cubs even though my home was more than three hours to the north. Attending my first Cubs game at the age of nine was an experience I'll never forget. This passion for the team was fueled by many things: Wrigley Field, Harry Caray and Ryne Sandberg mainly. All of these entered my world through WGN. There was no better way to spend a summer weekday than watching the Cubs on TV.
