Soon after the Cubs announced the creation of a new mascot named Clark, fans of the team were begging the organization to replace him with the mascots understudy, Vinny.
Vinny, who was created to fill in for Clark in an emergency, is a smaller, less entertaining version of the teams main mascot. What he lacks in talent, he makes up for in his attitude and hustle around the ballpark.
“This guy Vinny, he’s my kind of mascot” said Ted Muslinski of Portage Park. “He’s the type of guy we can build a future on.”
Management had no comment on the situation other than to say that Clark is the starting mascot as of now.
