Moments after the Texas Rangers defeated the Cardinals 4-2 in Game 5 of the World Series, a strange thing happened: the losing team stormed the field.

“We had to pull Carp’s foot out of his mouth,” explained St. Louis catcher Yadier Molina, referring to Chris Carpenter, who hurled obscenities at Mike Napoli in the sixth inning. “Obviously Chris didn’t know Napoli was going to be the hero of the game a couple innings later … or he would have kept his mouth shut.”

It took five teammates to remove Carpenter’s foot from his mouth, which was wedged so deeply, even FOX broadcaster and Cards fan Joe Buck couldn’t defend the St. Louis pitcher.

“He, uh … isn’t Albert Pujols dreamy?!” Buck exclaimed.
